HISTORY The 2013 production of The Tempest is Manawatu Summer Shakespeare's eleventh consecutive production - a history which embraces many of the best known and most popular of the plays of Shakespeare. The plays have been directed by a number of professionals from as far afield as Los Angeles, recruited under Massey University's Visiting Artist Scheme. Until this year, the productions have taken place at various locations around the parks at The Victoria Esplanade in the city - where we will venture in future, who knows? The directors for each year, and the plays they presented, are: |
