THE PEOPLE: PRODUCTION TEAM The production team responsible for pulling together the aesthetic and logistic for this play has an impressive list of credentials. Director Vanessa Stacey is a critically acclaimed, multi-disciplinary artist: an actor, filmmaker and singer-songwriter as well as a director, and costume designers Charmagne Anthony of Reinkarnate and Suzanne Tamaki of Native Sista are acknowledged specialists in steampunk and Pasifika fashion respectively. Additional music is provided by UCOL music programme director Kane Parsons, and indigenous instrument specialist Rob Thorne, along with Vanessa, and set design is by Massey Fine Arts Graduate, Leda Farrow. Producer Joy Green, a writer and Senior Tutor at Massey University, has managed the logistics of putting on the productions since 2010. This group is backed up by an experienced and dedicated team of photographers, designers, technicial, administration, back stage and front of house staff, all of whom are essential to realising the vision that is The Tempest. Underpinning this endeavour is the work of Executive Producer, Dr Angie Farrow, an award winning playwrite, who is the driving force behind Manawatu Summer Shakespeare and a significant presence in the wider arts in Palmerston North, having pioneered not only MSS but the Visiting Artist scheme from which it draws its director, the biennial Festival of New Arts, the local Arts Committee and numerous other initiatives.
